Choose by space before choosing by project
Use tabletop drawing or story games when floor space is limited. Save movement for a clear, nonslip area and let the imagined story supply the adventure. Put one activity away before opening the next when clutter starts to make the room difficult to use.
Before starting, check the materials and adult-help notes in the guide. Begin with a small version and keep a familiar alternative available. If the idea does not fit the day, simplify the task or choose a different pace; a longer list is not always the answer.
A useful next step
