Record what the child actually noticed

A strange sandwich or funny cloud can be a better memory prompt than a list of attractions. Offer drawing, dictated words or comics. Keep private information out of any shared pages and let the journal remain unfinished.

Before starting, check the materials and adult-help notes in the guide. Begin with a small version and keep a familiar alternative available. If the idea does not fit the day, simplify the task or choose a different pace; a longer list is not always the answer.

A useful next step

Choose one guide above and save two ideas you can actually use. The free starter pack gives you a paper backup for moments when you would rather stop searching and begin.
